Feeding the duckies

My last couple days off were too nice to just sit inside, and let the kids drive me nuts...so I gathered them up, and went to the park, and well, fed the ducks and geese. I was kinda bummed last week, because the swans were no where to be found, but, on this last outing, there was the male, proudly swimming in the middle of the river. Unfortunately, one of the girls had the camera, and was too far ahead for me to call back before I lost the photo op...there will be more, yes, there will be more.


The down side to all of this, is that you have to trek through a lawn full of crap..goose and duck crap...just to get to the water. For such a lovely park, you would think that someone would come up with a system to clean all the crap up. It doesn't matter where you step, there it is. I have to walk looking down, to make sure I don't hit any 'fresh' stuff, which makes a perfectly good walk, a disaster if your shoes covered....*shudder*...But I am digressing here...Those are of the week before, and this is this weeks....no duck feeding, but plenty of kids just being kids, no matter the age. Quality time with my babies is what matters most, and I wouldn't have missed this for the world!
