Kids and keyboards

Just don't seem to mix well in my house. At 1:30 AM I wake to hear the girls giggling about something on TV (and I am wondering why they are still up), and wander out to see what is up. My darling daughter then informs me that the keyboard on the 'puter is acting up. The whole bottom line won't work, and, yeah, it won't work. My first thought, "What did they spill on it?", but as it is 1:30 in the morning, I head back to bed, to fall into a deep coma.

6AM rolls around, and my first thought... "What did they spill on the keyboard?".... I really didn't want to know, really I didn't. Armed with my trusty phillips screwdriver and a damp washcloth, I venture where no sane person should, I open the board up, slowly, frustratingly, painfully. Grousing about the fact that I only have one size screwdriver, and why did I leave the good ones behind, forget it I will make this work. I did, rather nicely too. And my suspicions were confirmed... soda, by the looks of it, Dr. Pepper(which there is a 2 liter in the fridge), spilled in the 10 key pad. Carefully I wipe everything off(love this board, it is easy to clean, I have found out)then put it all back together. Plug it in, and what do you know... It works!!! Woo Hoo!!! Life my now go on as I know it, but the kids get no drinks near my puter again! How they will complain, but how much better I shall feel. It is good to be the Mommy!
